”I don’t get the need for this immediacy. In fact, I think it’s bad.
The way the system works now, you see the clothes, within an hour or so they’re online, the world sees them. They don’t get to a store for six months. The next week, young celebrity girls are wearing them on red carpets. They’re in every magazine. The customer is bored with those clothes by the time they get to the store. They’re overexposed, you’re tired of them, they’ve lost their freshness… In addition, all of the fast-fashion companies that do a great job, by the way, knock everything off. So it’s everywhere all over the streets in three months and by the time you get it to the store, what’s the point?
I’m holding everything back… The clothes are not going out to magazines before January issues. The clothes are not going to celebrities before December. The images are not being released online until December, when they’ll go online on my Web site.”

H&M is just getting better each season it seems. I hope to get my hands on the coats, the dresses, the leather pant (real leather??), and the tan boots for fall. The beaded dress reminds me of a top I had years ago, (wonder where it went?) and I'm completely in love with it. Now if they'd only start using better quality materials for the knits, I'd might even consider them as they look great too.

I've talked many times with my friend who's a photographer about how anyone can look great in photos if they are comfortable enough to relax and let their energy shine through. I think this is a perfect example of that. Keith Richards looking awesome here despite having lots wrinkles.

I've always thought it was beautiful to see people elder with pride. But that does not mean I'm not terrified for when my own wrinkles start pushing through for real.

The other night I got tired of not having a case for my iPhone. Every time I put it in my bag I'm afraid the keys or something else might scratch it. I wanted a raw natural look to it, so in stead of using the usual bag making technique, It's all made of one piece of leather with no cutting it. I used the already suitable edge of the nappa leather to be the lid, and draped the leather the way I wanted it around the phone. Since I wasn't at my flat and didn't have my sewing machine available for the job, I actually stapled the thing together.

I love the way it turned out.
